There was another hallway off to the left that lead to a small room. I saw a flicker of light like a candle and was sure that whatever I was looking for was in that room. I slowly made my way towards the light, but then heard someone walking in my direction. I quickly pressed myself against the wall around the corner. The footsteps came closer but then stopped. I stayed frozen wondering what I had gotten myself into. I peeked around the corner to see who it was and if I really had the need to be afraid. It was an old hag with grotesque gray hair and a dusty black cloak. I was actually paralyzed by how hideous her face was. I finally snapped out of it when she started to look around, and I went back behind the corner. I heard her footsteps again and saw her walk away from me down the hall. I quickly ducked around the corner and made my way to the room. I squeezed through the slightly open door, hoping that I wouldn't make it squeak, by opening it further.
As I entered the room, I had to shield my eyes, because the flicker that I saw before was now as bright as day. I squinted my eyes and looked between the crevice I made by opening my arms a little to see what was making that magnificent glow. It was some kind of stick, but it had a star shape on top. It was a wand. Not like a cool Harry Potter wand or anything, it was like one of those princess style wands that your sister gets from the dollar store and tries to turn you into toad or something. Yeah, it was one of those. Needless to say, I was let down. I grabbed the wand, put it under my jacket and crept back out into the hallway. My shoulder felt warm all of the sudden and I remembered about my hurt shoulder. I looked down and it was normal again. As is normal in a dream, I shrugged it off as nothing, and went down the hallway.
As I approached the end of the hallway, I heard a beautiful voice coming from the other side of a closed door. "Is someone out there?" I opened the door and peaked in.
I'm sure everyone reading has already come to the correct conclusion, but I was certainly surprised. The most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I used that exact phrase to accent the irony of this being a classic element in every fairy-tell story ever told. She was very cute though, brunette, perfect hight, brown eyes, and her face was beautiful.
I know. Just keep telling the story. Right, I got it.
She was chained and locked in a cell with iron bars. Naturally, I wanted to save her. I mean, that's what anyone would do in this situation right? Well, I went to the cell door and noticed that it had three large, iron locks with chains wrapped around the bars.
"Where's the key?" I asked.
"You mean you didn't get the wand?" She replied.
'Oh, that dumb thing actually does something?' I stopped myself from saying.
I took out the wand and waved it over the three locks. They disintegrated and turned to a bunch of glitter. I watched as the glitter floated down and then looked at the cinderella wand. 'Wow, way to go Prince Charming, you sure impressed her" and "Dude, that was so manly with all that glitter and everything' were some of the thoughts running through my mind at the time.
I opened the door and waved the wand over the shackles on her hands and feet. Without missing a beat, she flung her arms around me and gave me a kiss. Surprised, I suddenly felt the urge to give her a kiss back. I looked into her eyes and felt the strongest impression that I'd seen her before but didn't think too much of it. I leaned in to kiss her, but before I could, I heard a very manly voice behind me say "What did you do?" Sure enough, it was the old hag from earlier. Without thinking I flung the wand around and pointed it at her. A colorful, sparkly beam came out the star at the end and hit the old hag causing her to disappear as her cloak fell to the ground.
I watched for a minute to get a grasp on what had just happened, but then I saw the cloak start to move. A little bump hopped it's way to the edge of the cloak and finally hopped out. It was a bunny rabbit; not a frog, or a rat or anything that would have actually been cool. She was now a cute, white bunny. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to reclaim my other kiss. I leaned in and....
"Ring"
Yeah, I was back in bed, and my cell phone was ringing. Somehow, utterly angry with whoever it was that was calling I reached over and grabbed it.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Is this Jason?" Some old guy asked.
"Yes, who is this."
"This is the old hag you turned into a rabbit."
